Ikat - Silk Cushion Cover

Ikat cushion cover in silk and cotton.

The main side of the cushion is in brightly colored Ikat fabric, the other side is in neutral beige cotton panama.

Ikat dyeing is very old and typical of Central Asia. It is a reserve dyeing technique obtained through complex operations on the yarn to be woven which prevent the color from passing through certain areas. The threads are tightened and wrapped in ribbons, grouped according to a certain pattern. The typical shaded or "flamed" effect is given precisely by the craftsmanship of the processing.

Each cushion is unique, the image you see may be slightly different from the product you receive due to the handmade process.
